FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Who are the performers? I’ve never heard of any of them. A: Take a moment to visit the web pages of all the musicians scheduled to perform at Groovefest so you will be familiar with them, but don’t limit yourself, chances are you will like something you weren’t sure of. All the bands coming to Groovefest are working, touring acts, that make their living meeting new audiences and winning them over. We select musicians carefully, considering how the entire festival group will sound together and consciously blend as much diversity within the framework as possible. Allow yourself to enjoy new music you haven’t heard before. We’re sure you’ll have a terrific time and want to return year after year.
Q: How much is admission to Groovefest? A: Absolutely nothing! Come and stay all day, everyday and don't pay a dime, however some of the workshops do have a small admission fee.
Q: Can I bring food or a beverage? A: Yes, however we have plenty of food booths to keep you satisfied all day and would prefer that you patronize these establishments.
Q: Can I bring a pet to the park? A: Yes you can as long as you pick up after it and be courteous of others space, please be considerate around children.
Q: Can I drink alcohol at the Festival? A: No alcohol is allowed in the city park. Police enforcement wander throughout the festival and may arrest you if you are found with alcohol or illegal substances.
Q: What if the weather is bad? A: The weather is usually wonderful on this weekend but be prepared. It can be very hot and windy. Groovefest will not be cancelled due to inclement weather.
Q: Can I camp at Groovefest? A: There is no camping in at Main Street park, but there are plenty of campsites in the area. Visit the parks service at www.nps.gov or view the online yellow pages. There is an abundance of lodging in Cedar City. Take a look at our sponsors page for suggestions of places to stay
Q: Where do I park for Groovefest? A: There is parking on the street around the festival grounds, but not much. We advise the three-story parking garage a block south of Lin’s Marketplace. Parking is NOT allowed in The Eagles parking lot across the street from the park.
Q: How do I get to Groovefest? A: From I-15 going either north (from Las Vegas) or south (from Salt Lake City), take the middle Cedar City exit. Once off the exit, go east toward the red mountain (you will be on 200 N.) until you get to Main Street. The Main Street Park is on the corner of 200 N. & Main. You can't miss it!
